The shares are harvested and packed into boxes, and the farmers are
finally getting around to eating lunch! At 3:50 p.m.
If you're a member who picks up at the Westy, we'll see you there from
5-7, and if you're picking up at the farm, your boxes will be in the
Again, thanks for being a part of our CSA, and we think you'll really
enjoy your share for November/Thanksgiving! There are lots of
different veggies in here, something different for many meals!
We'd like to know that all of the good food we've packed up goes into
bellies not into the compost, so with that in mind, here are some tips
for keeping your produce fresh.
Again, just a note that our roots are rinsed but not scrubbed clean,
and our greens are picked clean from the greenhouse but will need to
be rinsed or spun clean with a salad spinner. Also, while you can peel
your veggies if you like, we use no pesticides or herbicides on our
farm so you can just clean them and use them -- the outsides are tasty
and the most nutritious part!
If you ordered an apple box, you can pick it up at the Westy and pay
for it there.
Also, a reminder that if you have not paid, payment in full ($90) is due today!
