that's a joke. We were dripping harvesting this morning! However,
we're done complaining because now it's raining!
Well, it had been a dry week up until now, and because of the rain
we're planning to plant out a lot of our fall crops after this soaking
we've just received. The hot dry weather has been great for lots of
our summer time veggies, and this week's share should reflect that:
green beans and cucumbers for the first time! More eggplants,
zucchini, summer squash and basil will be here as well.
If you're planning on going to Grassroots this year, we've got lots of
stuff for great cold summer salads: beets, green onions, zucchini and
eggplants all make great dishes you can make ahead of time and throw
in the cooler for the festival. Try making baba ganoush, or grilling
zucchini, or making a cold beet green onion salad with a nice basil
If you won't be able to make it to pick up your share because you're
ALREADY there, then please let us know and you can come pick up on the
farm on Monday.
Without further ado, your veggies! Thanks for your support.
Tulsi Basil (for tea)
That's all, see you soon!
