brussels sprouts, amazing! We are in full get-everything-picked-and-into-the-cooler mode right now, with lots of
turnips, cabbage, bagas, beets radishes carrots and brussels sprouts
that would like to be picked sooner than later. This means abundance
We've been noticing that not that many of you are taking celery and
parsley. Here are some creative ways to use these in your cooking.
--soup stock, soup vegetable
--garnish ANYTHING. it makes it look really good, and gives you phytonutrients!
--chop small amount into salads
--mix with roasted butternut squash
--tabbouleh salad, also good in any sort of pasta or potato salad
--make a pesto with parsley, arugula lemon juice and your choice of nuts
Also, those turnip and beet crates are coming back very full... chop
and roast these in the oven with squash for a REALLY awesome side
dish, maybe top with a balsamic reduction or maple syrup . . .
