Tomatoes and peppers and eggplants just burst up through their flats, and have unfurled their little dagger shaped cotyledon leaves.
We are slowly spreading our composted chicken manure on our rows, we've done about 4 tons so far, and more still to go! We also spread four tons of lime, we left the fields dusty and white for a day, and will go a long way to balancing our wacky pH here.
And our garlic! Wow, our garlic loves this warm weather, poking its way through the blanket of mulch we laid over it in the fall.
We are also rapidly filling up our CSA, so if you're on the fence about signing up, do it quickly! Otherwise we may not have room for you... and this is going to be a great season for vegetables, I can tell.
